Crottin de Chavignol is a French goat cheese that comes from the village of Chavignol in the Loire Valley region of France. It is a small, cylindrical cheese that typically weighs around 60-70 grams and has a natural rind.
How it tastes? This cheese has a slightly acidic flavor that is typical of goat cheese. You will also find notes of nutty and earthy flavors. Its texture is firm and crumbly.
How to eat ? There are many ways to enjoy Crottin de Chavignol.
Classic way would be with bread on a cheese board. Cooked way would be crumbled on top of a green salad or melted on toast with honey, walnut and vinegar!
